What did I just smoke. Thanks I've been looking for this for awhile. God emperor is my favorite of all the books and always tear up when he dies for his bride wife at the end. I hope you have read through all the books. there are quite a few after the originals that his son Brain and Kevin J Anderson wrote together. It's a long chore, but by the last of the new books everyone has returned and life starts anew. Very satisfying series. I recommend making it easy on yourself and get all the audiobooks read by Scott Brick AND NO ONE ELSE. You will be able to sail through the 10k years of extend story in no time. Enjoy. It occurred to me that David Lynchs Dune is sort of like Ben Hur

I'll miss the sea. This is one of the best and most comprehensive analysis of dune I have every heard! I've wanting for years, years, years, for someone to do an analysis of dune on this level and seeing the epic major themes and its connection to humanity here on earth. This is so fantastic, I am in awe and ecstatic for listening to these. Thank you so much.

New Dune is gonna have to be very good to come close to this masterpiece. This is an excellent edit of the original material. It is far far better than the dog's breakfast Rafaella Di Laurentiis forced David Lynch to bring to the screen. I have only two minor criticisms. I think you can eliminate all of the internal dialogue from the characters. Their acting shows what they are thinking, without having to add it in the voiceover. The internal dialogue is awkward and redundant and distracting. I think the film would be much stronger without it. Secondly, the navigator voice is, actually kind of weird. I think I prefer the original, deeper voice. However I know this is somewhat controversial. A large being should have a very deep voice, even though one might argue that the spice gas chamber might alter that. The angry outburst is weak in my opinion, and not becoming of such authority. They don't need to get angry. Their mere presence is enough to bring fear and motivation to the emperor. Just some thoughts. But all in all, head and shoulders above anything I have a found on DVD or BlueRay.

Oh, that beautiful face in the intro. oh my. Great work! As usual. I used to know the story and such for this (my siblings always were Sci-fi and Fantasy buffs and fans. I remember one time one the older ones even snuck in the original Akira and Battle Angel animes.) very well. Can someone fresh my memory, what is it, that Usul Word-yells. Fish Whisperers. Females would remain cool and calm during peace time. and thats how we know this is a fantasy world. Mmmm Shai'hulud. The jihad didn't kill millions. They say in Dune Messiah that it was over 60 BILLION dead.

Dune- best book and series I have ever read. Very much looking forward to the dune (2020) film, sure that I will be a lot happier than when my dad excitedly took me to the 1984 one. Nice video, now I really want to reread the whole series (and 7/8 ) again.

Somebody needs to make an HBO series with the same massive budget & attention to detail as Game of Thrones and adapt the entire DUNE book series to the screen in a similar manner! That would be the ultimate TV show.

I can't be the only one who notices. What David Lynch did to the actual story in the Dune novel. 3:10. LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS. There is just a innate need for volatility in humanity that can only be suppressed and not destroyed. Just as there is an innate need to explore the unknown. Although there is a desire to remain in a place people know and feel safe. Good idea, but this weapon was not in the books, just sayin. This is the one if the best reviews ever.
